UPDATE 6/20/04: Traded in on a new Ride Toyota 4Runner
My wife's ride. Just what every Mom needs, a practical four door sedan.
A car with practical features like a big trunk and lots of rear seat room for the kids. Charla sold me on things like safety, the Dual front airbags, the side air bags in the seats, the curtain airbags that pops out from above the side windows.
Hhmmm,.. practical features like a 250HP 5V Twin Turbo inter cooled V6 motor mated to a Tiptronic 5 speed transmission driving all four wheels. 12-way power heated front seats with three memory positions. Charla has claimed both memory position 1 and 2. I feel lucky I got number 3. Heated seats for Megan and Rachel in the back. A 200 watt Bose sound system that accepts both CD's and tapes in the dash plus a 6-disc changer in the trunk. More reading lights than a jet airplane. Speaking of jet airplanes, the soft red and white lights on the dash seem more like an airplane than a car. The Xenon headlights light the night sky. Auto dimming outside and rearview mirrors to keep other guys with bright lights from bugging you.. Dual zone, fully automatic climate control keeps us from fighting about it being to hot or too cold. Finally, the most important option on any car for Charla, The deep tinted power moon roof.
This was a great car for going across town or across the state. It safely carried our family everywhere. In June of 2004 the car hit 80,00o miles and was starting to act up. Lights, windows, doors, brakes again, power steering, check engine lights, random hard starts and large plumes of black smoke. We made the decision to trade it in.... Toyota 4Runner
